Jon Martin is a 6'4" 215 pound 2007 right handed pitcher, first baseman, and outfielder from Park Vista High School in Lake Worth, Florida. He has a tall frame with good thickness through out. Jon throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and has a good pitchers body. His arm action is nice and long. Martin's fastball has some nice cut at 80 mph. He should end up throwing much harder. His curveball at 69 mph is very big with sharp break to it. He throws a very deceiving change up at 72 mph that looks like his fastball coming out of his hand. At the plate, Martin dives into the plate and likes to pull the ball. He has good strength in his swing and can really turn on the ball inside. His bat speed is very quick and he has some raw power that should continue to develop. Jon is a promising two way prospect who should continue to improve.
