2021 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 14)
Zachary Frye is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Timber Creek. Recorded a 7.27 second sixty-yard dash time. Strong, durable frame with lean muscle throughout and physical projection. Primary infielder with athletic actions into the fielding process, clean funnel out in front and solid lateral range to either side. Works downhill through the baseball, exhibits ability to field cleanly and transfer quickly into release. Recorded arm strength up to 83 mph across the diamond from a short, compact arm action. Right-handed hitter that hits an upright, even stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small leg lift trigger. Incorporates a larger barrel tip loading mechanism to get to launch, while using rotational lower half mechanics to create torque and separation. Pullside approach with present bat speed, feel for the barrel and the ability to impact then baseball out in front. Displayed legitimate power potential and the ability to turn the barrel quickly on the inner-half. Fundamentally sound defensive skill set with projection. Loud hit tool with carrying effect to it, will continue to improve with maturity and additional physicality. Excellent Student.
