Robert Ruais is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Celina, TX who attends Celina. Tall and projectable frame with broad shoulders, room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.05 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves to the baseball with short steps, athletic actions work well attacking the baseball and into his release, uses a full arm action into his throws with arm strength that projects, topped out at 80 mph from the outfield. Secondary lefthanded pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch with a short stride down the mound, clean arm action at take back, closes off front side when landing and creates a tough angle to the plate, downhill plane to fastball that has life to armside up to 80 mph, sweeping slider with two-plane shape, flashed a feel for a changeup as well, projects well on the bump with proper refinement. Lefthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a wide base and a high hand set, takes a short stride into contact with loft to his swing path, loose hands with quickness to them, meets the ball out in front with a pull side approach.
