Zachary Farrell is a 2022 C/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends San Marcos. He showed plus speed with a 6.64 second sixty. A primary catcher with a with a medium frame. Behind the plate he showed quick foot work getting his feet down allowing his shoulder to get turned as he gained ground, the transfer happens clean int he middle fo the body with a quick release showing average arm strength on the throws. In the outfield he he worked through the ball with some quick twitch and athleticism, he showed solid arm strength on the throws topping out at 84 mph with a shuffle into his throws. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even base, he showed plenty of bat speed with some strength in the hands routinely getting the barrel out front to impact the ball to the pull side as he uses the lower half effectively. Excellent student. Named to the 2021 California Workout Camp Session 2 Top Prospect List.
