Casey Bishop is a 2021 SS/2B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Parkton, MD who attends Gilman High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a young and lean, projectable build with room tp fill throughout moving forward. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front with a wide base and shows quickness to footwork when on the move, takes an extra step through the ball, shows comfort dropping arm slot on throws across the diamond while maintaining looseness, actions project moving forward. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; stays simple with mechanics and employs a contact oriented approach. Weight starts on backside, subtle shift through lower half. Keeps hands inside well and gets the barrel to the ball with a linear swing path, repeats mechanics well, works the middle and pull side parts of the field, projects with added strength. Good student.
