Nicholas Papaianni is a 6'3" 195 pound 2008 right handed pitcher and third baseman from Coral Reef High School in Palmetto Bay, Florida. He has a tall body with good strength. Nicholas pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action and good arm speed. He has smooth mechanics and throws strikes with both of his pitches. His fastball has good movement at 81 mph that is very heavy, His slider was very small and tight at 75 mph. Papaianni showed his arm strength in the outfield as well by throwing 76 mph during the workout. He moves very well to the ball for not being an outfielder. At the plate, he is very short to the ball and has good balance in his swing. He has solid bat speed and uses the entire field. Nicholas is a promising young player who is also a very good student with a 3.52 gpa.
