Drue Hackenberg is a 2021 RHP/IF, OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Palmyra, VA who attends Fork Union Military Academy. Recorded a 7.27 second 60-yard dash time. Physical frame with a strong present build that's well-proportioned throughout. Primary righthanded pitcher with a shorter, quick arm stroke and very good life on the fastball that was recorded up to 89 mph. Upright delivery and works up in the strike zone. Life is a separator on the fastball and shows a slider with 10/4 shape to it. Solid present stuff with good strikes and a tight, high three-quarters arm slot. Can land the slider for strikes and has two presently good pitches. Arm strength plays from secondary position of infield. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a narrow base. Loose swing with an easy trigger to start. Longer swing path and can work to the pull side. Some strength at contact when extended. Good student.
