John Harrick is a 2020 RHP/ with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley Southwest. Ran a 7.77 second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with an athletic frame and build. Starts from the windup with a small side step into a belt high leg lift. Stays slightly flexed at gather, going to drop and drive actions down the mound. Has a long and stiff arm action, staying athletic down the mound and releasing from a mid three-quarter arm slot. Has good command of the zone with the fastball up to 82 miles per hour, and shows developing feel to spin a curveball with 11-5 shape and good depth at 73 miles per hour. Also worked out at first base, and rounds the ball well with clean footwork and deliberate actions through the fielding process. Has a clean transfer to throw, making accurate throws to bases at 80 miles per hour. Has a tall and even stance at the plate, with a high hand set and simple leg lift trigger. Swings with intent to drive the ball, showing some gap-to-gap jump when on time and squared. Has a naturally lifted barrel plane through the zone. Good student.
