2017 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Dylan Govin is a 2018 3B/SS with a 6-1 183 lb. frame from De Pere, WI who attends West De Pere. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.56 sixty-yard dash. Primary third baseman with clean, fundamental footwork while surrounding and working through the baseball. Worked through transition well with clean exchanges and released from a compact, three-quarters arm slot. Throws generated accurate on line carry across the infield topping at 78 miles per hour. Switch hitter with an upright, slightly open stance from each side of the plate. Hands launched to contact on a loose, extended path that generated a line drive plane through extension. Primarily worked to the middle of the field and flashed that ability to turn barrel and work to pull side with bat speed from the left side of the plate. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Good student as well.
