Brady Betts is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Mattoon, IL who attends Mattoon HS. Lean and lanky young build, lots of room to get stronger. Full hands over head delivery, medium length arm action in back, arm is loose and quick coming through with good overall direction to the plate, should have very good command in the future with his base mechanics. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, gets lots of running life and can break bats with late run into hitters hands, more velocity there as he gets stronger. Tends to let up on his curveball but made the adjustment and started throwing it harder and for strikes with a big deep break, also steadily improved with his straight change up through the outing. 7.29 runner who had good athletic actions in the outfield. Right handed hitter, closed stance with hard shift to his front side, short contact oriented swing, handled the barrel well with line drive contact to all fields. Good student.
