Jack Kramer is a 2018 C/ with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Highland Park, IL who attends Highland Park. Medium frame with a strong, athletic build. Projects for additional strength with continued physical maturity. Primary catcher with a low, balanced set and good hip flexion while setting up to receive. Gains ground to the bag with quick, explosive footwork. Clean, quick paced exchanges and released from a compact arm slot. Tends to gets tall at times while receiving. Throws produced good on line carry to the bag topping at 75 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 1.95. Right handed hitter with a crouched, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Hands stay compact at load and launch on a simple, direct path to contact generating a line drive plane through extension. Shows present bat speed and strength at contact with a mid-field approach. Baseball jumps off the barrel well with loud, rising line drive contact. Also showed the hand speed to turn barrel to contact and produce loud contact to pull side as well. Excellent student. Named to the 2017 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
