Leyber Hernandez is a 2017 RHP/ with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from La Guaira, Venezuela. Medium athletic build, has some present strength with room for more. High leg lift delivery with a big side step and a full arm circle in back, extended 3/4's arm slot, stays on line and gets over his front side well on release. Steady mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, mostly straight arm side but gets some cutting action glove side, will mix in a low 80's two-seamer or hard change up at times, maintained velocity well through his innings and from the stretch. Developed better feel for his curveball as the outing progressed, slower arm to start, added velocity, best curveballs at 72 mph with some tightness and bite.
