Kaden Dewey is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Shell Rock, IA who attends Waverly-Shell Rock. Medium frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 7.00 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with aggressive, athletic footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels baseball off to side and works through transition with clean exchanges. Generated good momentum to target while releasing from a three-quarters arm slot. Throws producing accurate, on line carry topping at 86 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, open stance and large leg lift trigger. Loose hand path to baseball with an uphill plane through extension. Swung with intent to lift the baseball through each gap. Showed best jump off the barrel when delivering bat head to baseball out front. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Good student as well.
