2018 PG Top Prospect Games at Texas A&M
Trey Harrison is a 2019 1B/RHP with a 6-5 180 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Valley Christian High School. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs with a high waist, plenty of physical projection moving forward. Primary first baseman, showed athleticism in drills and live action with footwork around the bag, softness to hands and picked it well, fields the ball out front and works through the ball nicely, full arm action and works on top of throws, carry across, maintained balance on the charge. Also pitched, similar full arm action through the back working to a hight three-quarters; uses long levers well to create plane on fastball and topped out at 83 mph. Varied looks often and showed run in on hands of hitters, short stride down the mound, mixed a curveball with 12-6 shape and flashed depth at 72 mph. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a wide base a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Swings with intent and gets wider with weight shift, can shorten approach for more consistent timing. Stays short to the ball overall with swing path and shows quickness through the zone. Shows ability to impact the baseball to the middle and pull side parts of the field, simple swing with hands and finds the barrel, projects well with added strength. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect List.
