Garrett Teunissen is a 2021 C/RHP, 2B, 3B, SS, MIF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends Hillcrest. Compact frame with a slender build and athleticism. Ran a 7.36 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Sets up in a side straddle stance to start. Creates separation when working through exchanges with a bit longer arm circle. Quick footwork out of the stance while gaining ground to the bag. Shows accurate carry down topping out at 74 MPH and popping a 2.10. Righthanded hitter with an upright and even stance to start. Simple leg lift trigger for timing. Rotational lower half staying on the backside. Inside hand path to contact on a line drive barrel plane. Middle of the field approach flashing the ability to turn to the pull side and create jump. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a short side step delivery into a higher leg lift above the belt. Lands online with the plate and stays online through finish. Long take back with looseness to release from a mid three-quarter slot. Heavy life through the zone on the fastball at 82 MPH. Shows an 11-to-5 curveball with bigger depth and some looseness to spin. Excellent student as well.
