Donovan Orozco is a 2019 C/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Santa Ana, CA who attends Segerstrom HS. Medium frame with a strong build and square shoulders. Ran a 7.13 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Actions behind the plate are compact and play well. Some quickness in lower half when coming out of stance. Very accurate throws topping out at 70 miles per hour and popping a 2.09 during workouts. Righthanded hitter with a bent knee stance and a high back elbow set. Hands are quick and keeps the barrel in the zone. Hard pull side contact with consistent control of the barrel. Balanced in stance while getting extension through contact. Good student as well.
