Daniel Callaghan is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Warwick, NY who attends Warwick Valley. The primary outfielder has a wiry athletic frame with plenty of room to fill, and he ran a 7.30 in the sixty. Solid footwork in his approach with balance throughout. The transfer is consistent and uses a long arm action, with good extension on his throws to the bases. The right-handed hitter has a deep hand load with a good weight shift through the ball. There is length through contact and some jump off the barrel. A right-handed pitcher with a loose arm and a high 3/4 release while staying inline. True 3-pitch mix with a big breaking curveball that he has feel to land, and a change up that he matches the release with some sink to it. Very good student.
