Dearl Edens is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Clearwater, FL who attends Calvary Christian. Strongly built, medium frame with well-proportioned lower half and some room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Simple delivery with belt high leg lift, drop and drive lower mechanics and good extension through release. Confident strike thrower from a high three-quarters arm slot, working downhill with riding life through the strike zone. Fastball worked in the low-80s for the majority of his outing, topping out at 84 mph in this look with good command to all four quadrants of the strike zone. Mixed in 11-5 shaped curveball with advanced spin traits, showing plus depth and tilt to it. Sequences two-pitch mix effectively, landing both fastball and curveball for strikes often. Solid overall outing with plenty of strikes, will continue to improve with addition of third pitch. Plenty of upside remaining with more velocity in the tank. Good Student.
