Jake Moss is a 2022 RHP with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Plandome, NY who attends Manhasset Secondary. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a strong, mature build, proportioned well. Righthanded pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch with a leg lift up to belt, tempo to delivery and does a nice job of repeating delivery. Quick arm through the back working to a three-quarters release point, creates nice extension out front and filled up the strike zone, incorporates lower half well. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, heavy life, mostly true in shape with occasional cut, can get to either side and misses bats. Some effort at release, maintains arm speed on slider very well and has a chance to become a swing-and-miss type offering in the upper-70s. 11-5 shape to the curveball, tunnels the release well, tends to slow arm; flashed a changeup at 78 mph, turned it over well. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Pennsylvania. Named to Fall Northeast Top Prospect List.
