Jason Wehran is a 2020 C/ with a 5-10 137 lb. frame from Oakland, NJ who attends Indian Hills. Primary catcher with a medium frame, lean and slender build with room to fill out, 7.22 runner in the 60. Displays quick twitch actions behind the plate, solid agility with quick feet and a short transfer to throw. Gains ground well, throws with some speed in the arm stroke, generates solid carry with accuracy. Projectable catch and throw skills with added strength and maturity to come. Hits from a slight crouch, even stance and slightly narrow base, with a higher hand set. Slight weight shift into contact with a degree of lift in the bat path through the zone. Line drive approach that is centered through the middle of the field. Flashes solid bat speed and the ability to find the barrel of the bat. Added strength will increase the consistency of the swing, shows projection. Good student.
