Canyon Brown is a 2021 C/IF, UT with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Daytona Beach, FL who attends Seabreeze. Large frame with a lean, physically mature build showing more room to fill out in the future. Ran a 7.58 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, showing to be very athletic behind the dish as he sat in his legs well. Received the baseball with soft hands and had excellent framing skills. Was not afraid to back pick aggressive runners. Quick feet on throw downs as he showed some urgency with a quick transfer. Arm strength showing with accuracy as he recorded a 1.78 second pop time during drills. Projects very well at the position as he is fundamentally sound. Righthanded Hitter, starting from a slightly spread out, even stance. Toe tap trigger and go as he showed some bat speed. Linear swing path as he went on to find barrels with consistency. Proves he can get extended and generate some power. Also showed a great two strike approach as he simplified and put the baseball in play. Outstanding Student. Named to National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
