Cody Carwile is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Fleming Island, FL who attends Fleming Island HS. Recorded a 7.76 second 60-yard dash time. Long and angular frame with a lean build and tons of room to fill out. Primary lefthanded pitcher with smooth, easy, and repeatable mechanics. Four seamer shows riding life late and the two seam shows good arm side run and sink. Fastball topped out at 83 mph and tunneled both the curveball and changeup from the same slot. Curveball has good break and should continue to develop while the changeup is the more developed pitch at this point with late tumble. Arm strength played well from secondary position of first base. Lefthanded hitter with a low hand set and a spread, open stance. Tight hands and stays inside the baseball. Has some present power when on time with excellent strength off the barrel. Looks good when he gets the barrel out on time. Good student. Named to the Sunshine East TP List.
