Jake Gish is a 2019 SS/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Waterloo, NE who attends Millard South HS. Medium frame with a solid, athletic build. Projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 7.14 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with high energy footwork while surrounding and working through the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling with smooth paced, efficient exchanges while working through transition. Released from a high three-quarters arm slot that produced some on line carry to the bag, topped at 75 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, even stance and forward hand set. Lower half works to contact with rotational actions creating occasional shift. Hands start at a slightly lower slot and work to contact on a loose, lifted path through extension. Consistently barreled baseball throughout batting practice producing line drive, ground ball contact to the middle of the field. Excellent student as well.
