Chris Kubas is a 2019 C/RHP, 1B, 3B, OF with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from New Providence, NJ who attends New Providence. Medium frame with broad shoulders and a solid build. Primary catcher with a side set stance while receiving the baseball. Gains some ground while working out of crouch and worked through transfer with loose exchanges. Released from a compact three-quarters arm slot and generated accurate, on line carry to the bag at 71 miles per hour. Best workout pop time of 2.10. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Displayed a mature approach with present strength in swing. Looked to generate lift to the gaps and generated tight back spin off the barrel when squared. Ball jumped off the barrel with authority to each gap. Very good student. Named to the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase, Top Prospect List.
