Joseph Augustine is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Burbank, CA who attends Loyola HS. Slender young athletic build. High leg lift delivery, gets gathered well on his back side, short stride out front with an upright release, 3/4's to high 3/4's arm slot, compact arm action, can use his lower half more in his delivery. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action. Short slider with some late biting action, flashed depth at times, developing change up. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a deep hand load, has some quickness to his hands, line drive swing plane with middle of the field contact, has some bat speed to develop. Showed his arm strength well from the outfield. Good student.
