Zachary Murray is a 2020 RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Lanier. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Deep arm action with a very high leg lift to start his delivery, pretty low effort at release, will vary between high 3/4's and 3/4's depending on the pitch, repeats his mechanics well especially considering their length. Steady 89-91 fastball, gets some sink and run on the pitch and works it to both sides of the plate. Showed quality to both his slider and change up, change up has nice fading action but tends to drop his arm slot on this pitch, slider has some two-plane break and is used with conviction. Has three solid pitches he has feel with and can pitch off of, getting consistent in his arm slot/release point on all three will impact his ability to compete immediately at the next level.
