Dillon Di Iorio is a 2019 1B/3B, OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from St Charles, IL who attends Marmion Academy. Medium frame with an athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 7.14 sixty-yard dash. Primary first baseman with clean footwork while centering the baseball. Funnels the ball out front and worked through exchange quickly. Released from a three-quarters slot creating softer carry to the bag at 68 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing smooth paced footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Quick, clean exchange while working through transfer. Compact arm circle at separation and released from a high three-quarters arm slot topping at 76 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, open stance and toe tap trigger. Swung with intent on a direct path to contact. Looks to connect with baseball out front and generated leverage. Present bat speed with strength and produced hard contact to all fields throughout batting practice. Very good student. Named to the 2017 Midwest Underclass Showcase, Top Prospect List.
