Will Smith is a 2019 RHP/C, IF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Conway, SC who attends Conway HS. Athletic frame with some present, but still projectable, strength to the overall build. Primary righthanded pitcher with a quick, compact delivery. Short, repeatable arm action with impressive arm speed and releases from a true three-quarters arm angle. Pounded the lower half of the strike zone with some late arm side run on the fastball that topped out at 89 mph. High potential breaking ball with significant sharpness to the overall shape and very late, biting break to the pitch to entice a number of swings and misses. Also flashed an effective changeup, maintaining arm speed on the pitch with some late depth and sinking action. Uses all three pitches effectively and the impressive breaking ball adds a lot of upside to the profile. Named to the 2018 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
