Philip Clarke is a 2019 OF/ with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Winter Park, FL who attends Trinity Preparatory. Large frame with long limbs and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional size and strength. Ran a 7.00 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, clean footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels off to side and worked through exchange well. Displayed good arm strength at release creating stiff, accurate carry to the bag at 88 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and reaching front side trigger. Aggressively shifts into contact with linear lower half actions. Swung with intent and employed a naturally leverage barrel plane through extension. Showed present bat speed and strength that produced loud, explosive contact to the pull side gap when on time and squared. Very good student. Named to the 2018 National Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
