Fernando Amaro is a 2020 C with a 5-10 174 lb. frame from Cidra, PR who attends PJ Educational School. Recorded a 7.25 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with some strength to the build and well-proportioned size. Primary catcher with fast hands and a fast arm. Works through the motions quickly with a very strong arm recorded up to 81 mph toward second base. Good carry and accuracy down to the bag with excellent catch and throw skills resulting in a best pop time of 1.87 seconds. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow and a clean, comfortable swing. Longer swing path with an upper half dominant swing. Good strength off the barrel with a shorter stride into the load. Looks to pull the ball and generates some backspin and carry off the barrel.
