Colton Coca is a 2020 3B/SS with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Racine, WI who attends St.Catherine's. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.26 sixty yard dash. Primary third baseman, funnels baseball with two hands out front from a slightly deeper position. Smooth paced actions while exchanging baseball from glove to hand. Shows a three-quarters arm slot while throwing across the infield, topping at 73 mph. Throws produce softer carry across the infield with accuracy. Right handed hitter with a crouched, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Lower half has linear actions to contact producing occasional shift. Barrel comes through the zone on a line drive plane with some smoothness through extension. Primarily used a mid-field approach with flashes of barrel control that generated consistent line drive contact. Shows best swing and balance through the zone when head stays behind barrel producing back spin and carry to the gaps. Good student as well.
