Gehrig Chambless is a 2018 C/1B with a 6-1 191 lb. frame from Oakland, FL who attends Legacy Charter High School. Medium frame and build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.33 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, gains ground well with present arm strength up to 79 mph. Showed blocking skills with looseness through lower half. Workout pop time of 2.00. At the plate, started with a spread stance, open base, and short stride to the ball. Simple and direct line drive swing plane. Still hands i load to ball with a pull oriented approach. Swing primarily works through upper half and will continue to improve with lower half fire to ball and strength. Good student.
