Michael Ballard is a 2019 2B/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Longwood, FL who attends Lake Mary HS. Recorded a 7.61 second 60-yard dash. Lean and wiry frame with long limbs and plenty of physical projection remaining. Primary second baseman with quick feet and gets his body moving through release. Higher arm slot through throws with good awareness. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a balanced delivery and an open toed landing. Clears lower half well and carries his weight down the mound. Three-quarter arm slot with some life on the fastball. Challenges the strike zone and was around the plate often. Curveball flashes sharpness with mostly sweeping action. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and high back elbow. Leg lift trigger into swing with a spread open stance. Explosive trigger into swing with the ability to go to all fields. Good path to contact and squared up balls well. Great student.
