Dylan Oliver is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 5-4 130 lb. frame from Seaville, NJ who attends Ocean City HS. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean, projectable build, has room to grow and develop physically moving forward. Ran a 7.98 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes longer strides moving towards the ball, fields out front and works to a high slot on throws with a full arm action in the back, extra step through release and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into release. Also pitched, side step moving into delivery and gets tall on backside with some gather over the rubber; full hand path, deliberate tempo and works to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 68 mph, occasional cut to the pitch and induced weak contact off the barrel; 12-6 shape to curveball with big break at 57 mph, landed the pitch for strikes well. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a gliding leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Keeps hands inside the ball in swing, shows comfort working to the middle of the field, occasionally opens front side early. Best contact with a linear path, bat speed will continue to develop with added strength, short shift through lower half. Good student.
