Kavares Tears is a 2021 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-11 188 lb. frame from Lewisburg, TN who attends Columbia Academy. Showed a medium frame with a lean build showing physical strength in the lower half. Very projectable build with some room to fill up top. Ran a 7.40 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder with good reads off the bat showing smooth footwork. Clean glove with a quick transfer before releasing with a flick of the wrist. Athletic movements showing in his routes and mechanics. Good feel for the position. Lefthanded hitter starting in a very narrow stance with feet almost touching. Big leg kick and stride to a balanced hitting position. Showed plus bat speed with good feel for the barrel. Proved he could get extended with the bat head out front as he drove the baseball with authority around the ball park. Pull side power showing as he drove the baseball over the fence. Good Student.
