Cade Kuehler is a 2020 OF/2B, RHP with a 5-7 127 lb. frame from Waxhaw, NC who attends Cuthbertson High School. Very young player with a lean, slender build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Primary outfielder, moved well through the ball, short arm action, good accuracy, and developing arm strength. At the plate, started with an open stance, narrow base, high hand set, high back elbow, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Swing worked primarily through upper half. Linear swing path and inconsistent plane through the zone. Has tools, will continue to improve at the plate with strength and lower half incorporation. Also pitched, deeper hip turn, closed landing, long arm action, and threw from a high three quarter arm slot. Fastball worked 67-69 mph with heaviness low in the zone. Successfully pitched to contact letting defense work. Curveball worked over for strikes with 12/6 shape and developing spin. Slider showed 10/4 shape at 58 mph. Exceptional student.
