Grant McQueary is a 2019 OF/IF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Campbellsville, KY who attends Taylor County. Large frame with a lean, athletic build and wiry strength. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.15 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder with aggressive, athletic actions while closing to the baseball. Very clean, fluid glove skills while funneling the baseball. Gets the baseball out very quickly with clean exchanges and a compact arm action, topped at 88 mph. Throws produced good carry to the bag with accuracy. Showed very athletic actions, footwork and glove skills throughout defensive workout. Left handed hitter with a spread, straight stance and high back elbow set. Lower half launches to contact with rotational actions producing some shift. Compact, direct path to contact with a leveraged plane through extension. Primarily used a mid-field approach but flashed the ability to turn barrel to contact and produce loud contact to pull side. Good student. Named to the 2016 Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
