Brett Kennett is a 2019 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Olathe, KS who attends Olathe South HS. Tall angular build, lots of room to fill out and get stronger. Long and smooth actions in the middle infield, has soft hands and feet are well positioned and balanced, easy transfer and release and makes accurate throws, key on defense will be improving his quickness and range. Right handed hitter, straight stance with a low hand start and a high finish, balanced middle of the field approach, handles the barrel well, projects with additional strength. Also pitched, slow paced hand drop delivery, high 3/4's arm slot. Consistent mid-70's fastball, comes over top of the ball on release for a cutter effect, gets the ball off the barrel, threw strikes with his breaking ball, lots of early count swings, makes hitters swing the bat. Very good student.
