Matt Lelito is a 2019 C/RHP/OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from St. John, IN who attends Andrean High School. Large frame, lean, slender build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.04 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, showed a quick transfer, short arm action, and got on top well with a tight release. Developing accuracy and arm strength with a workout pop time of 2.10. At the plate, started with a spread stance and used a short leg lift timing mechanism. Worked the opposite field and up the middle with consistency. Linear swing plane with present strength. Improvements to timing and hand path would lead to improved results at the plate. Also pitched, deliberate tempo, raw arm strength, longer arm action, and threw from a high three quarter arm slot. Fastball worked 81-82/83 mph with occasional cut around the zone. Velocity should continue to climb with age and refinement of mechanics. Also showed a curveball with 12/6 shape and good spin and tightness at 69 mph. Graded out best as a pitcher.
