Alejandro Macario is a 2018 3B/RHP, 1B, SS, IF, UT with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Weston, FL who attends Archbishop Edward Mccarthy. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Primary third baseman with clean, smooth paced footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and worked through transfer with fluid glove to hand exchanges. Released from a three-quarters slot producing solid carry across the infield at 83 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an event, slightly open stance. Shifts into contact with linear lower half actions. Loose, extended hand path to baseball with a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Swung with intent and looked to drive the baseball with authority between the gaps. When squared, produced loud jump off the barrel that produced tight back spin. Also pitched utilizing a large rock step to low leg lift delivery. Pauses at gather with slight coil over back leg. Hid baseball well at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball produced solid downward plane through the zone with some life to arm side in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 82 miles per hour. Curveball had 9/4 shape with looser spin and solid depth in the mid 60's. Outstanding student.
