Noah Mayhan is a 2020 RHP/MIF/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Gilmer, TX who attends Union Grove HS. Medium frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a high leg lift delivery. Stays in line with the plate. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarter slot. Fastball generated some downhill plane through the zone with run to arm side in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 78 miles per hour. Curveball showed 11/5 shape with good spin and depth to the bottom of the zone. Maintains arm speed with breaking ball creating good deception at release. Consistently worked to the bottom quadrants of the zone while effectively changing speeds. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing deliberate footwork while moving to and through the baseball. Developing fluidity at pick up and worked through exchange efficiently. Created some on line carry across the infield topping at 77 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a balanced, even stance. Turns in front side at load and employed a simple shift into contact. Consistently repeated a line drive barrel plane. Showed occasional bat speed through the zone with the ability to turn bar head to contact. Created sharp, line drive contact off the barrel while utilizing a mid field to pull side approach. Very good student as well.
