Thomas Mangus is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from McKinney, TX who attends McKinney Boyd HS. Recorded a 7.94 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with long limbs and room to project physically. Primary righthanded pitcher with an athletic delivery and good balance throughout. Higher leg lift above the belt with a long and loose arm stroke. Works the strike zone nicely with a low effort delivery and a high three-quarters arm slot. Slider is tunneled out of the fastball slot nicely. Good feel for both sides and has a strong two-pitch mix at present. Arm strength plays from secondary position of infield. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a toe tap trigger. Short stance and gets wide with a sweeping leg kick. Covers the plate well and swings with intent. Can work to all fields with intent. Good student.
