Carter Gannaway is a 2019 RHP/3B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Decatur, AL who attends Decatur HS. Big and strong broad shouldered build. High 3/4's arm slot with a long and clean arm action, uses his lower half well to generate power in his pitches, low effort release, stays on line and repeats his mechanics. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, mostly straight, likes to come inside to hitters with his fastball. Slider has good sharpness to it with some downward tilt, change up is a nice pitch with good arm speed and deception. Has feel for all his pitches and mixes them well, advanced pitchability. Right handed hitter, has strength in his swing and can drive his pitch. Very good student.
