Gavin Martin is a 2018 OF/RHP, 2B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Farmington, NM who attends Farmington. Medium frame with solid build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.34 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, slightly spread out, simple middle-field approach with small stride, repeatable wing with compact line drive path, shows good ability to move barrel around the zone. Did a very good job of finding the barrel consistently. Worked out in the outfield, does a good job of lining the ball up, comes in well, tends to stop momentum when fielding rather than working through the ball, solid arm strength clocked up to 80 mph. Also pitched, clean delivery with simplicity throughout, overtop arm slot, repeated well, fastball worked 72-75 mph with some command to middle of the zone. Good student, named to 2018 West Uncommitted Top Prospect List.
