Charles Herrington is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from McBee, SC who attends Mcbee. Large frame with solid, athletic present build and good projection remaining as well. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Sets up to hit with low hand set, square stance to the plate, simplistic see ball-hit ball approach and mechanics. Will be aggressive and look to drive the ball early in the count. Good bat speed with strength off the barrel, consistently made hard line drive contact. Worked out defensively in the OF, moves well to the ball with athletic footwork, fields cleanly through the ball with momentum and balance, showed accurate arm from 3/4 slot release, up to 73 MPH. Pitched as well, shorter and quick arm circle to 3/4 arm slot, worked fastball to both corners with good command. FB worked 68-70 MPH with some arm side life; also showed solid feel for a curveball with 11/5 shape and good depth. Good student.
