PG Grade: 7
Bryan Benisvy is a 2007 C/2B/OF with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame from East Atlantic Beach NY, who attends Long Beach. Benisvy has a smaller frame with a thin lean build. Defensively, Benisvy moves well behind the plate and has a good idea of how to block pitches. He worked well with the pitchers in the showcase games and received well. He has solid arm strength with carry on his throws. His accuracy and arm strength were solid in game. At the plate, Benisvy starts with an open stance and gets closed at load. He has a deep load and takes a short stride. He gets good use out of his lower half and has a contact hitter's approach. He has an uppercut swing path and has quick hands to the baseball. He has bat speed and had a short compact swing in BP. With increased balance and leverage, Benisvy will improve his bat speed and power.
