Jacob Ambriz is a 2022 C with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Corinth, TX who attends John H Guyer. Medium frame with an athletic build showing strength in the lower half. Ran a 8.12 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting athletically in his stance as he was fundamentally sound. Received the baseball with soft hands and proved he could frame the baseball. Quick transfers on throws downs as he recorded a 1.99 second pop time. Feel for the position and projects well here. Right-Handed Hitter, starting with a narrow base with high hands. Low leg lift to stride and then was linear through the zone. Quick hands as he got the bat head through the zone as he looks to do damage. Proved he could backspin the baseball and had some pull-side power when he gets extended. Outstanding Student.
