Cameron Frederick is a 2019 SS with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Lincoln, NE who attends Lincoln Southwest High School. Medium, athletic frame with broadness to shoulders and present strength, additional room to develop moving forward. Primary shortstop, moves well and shows fluidity to actions and footwork, softness to hands out front and funnels cleanly, remains low through actions and shows nice carry across the diamond while working on top of the ball, repeats actions very well. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide and slightly open stance with a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Employs a contact oriented approach and remains short and compact with swing path through the zone. Creates lift out front and shows comfort creating contact to pull side, repeats mechanics well and projects well with added strength, shows present quickness to hands. Very good student.
