Robert Villa is a 2019 2B/SS, RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Waco, TX who attends Waco High School. Younger player with a lean, slender build and room to continue to fill out in his frame. Posted a 7.65 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary infielder, fielded the ball clean, threw from a lower slot, with good actions to backhand side. Developing arm strength that will improve with age with a good transfer. At the plate, started with a wider base, high hand set, high back elbow, and toe tap timing mechanism. Showed quick hands with a short, compact swing generating consistent line drive contact. Worked all fields with an active barrel and the ability to extend hips. Also pitched, started with a slide step into his delivery with high leg raise. Three quarter arm slot, full arm action, short stride, and online landing. Fastball worked down with short, sinking life at 71-74 mph. Mixed in curveball at 64 with depth. Good student.
