Tristen Nine is a 2018 3B/C, RHP with a 6-0 197 lb. frame from Lake Lynn, PA who attends Trinity Christian. Large frame with present strength. Right handed hitter with slightly coiled stance and toe tap trigger. Rotational mechanics to contact with a mid-field approach. Shows a clean, line drive swing path with consistent barrel contact that reaches the gaps. Repeats mechanics well while maintaining balance throughout swing. Worked out defensively from behind the plate and in the infield. Shows a higher set behind the plate with a rotational release while throwing. Arm swing back tends to have a slight hook behind head and releases with a compact arm action that produces some on line carry. Best pop time of 2.13 during workouts. From the infield shows a quick glove ot hand transfer with a full arm action back. Developing footwork and glove skills while surrounding the baseball with solid athletic actions on slow roller. High energy arm action on throws across the infield, topped at 75 mph. Also pitched showing a high tack back in arm circle and uses lower half well throughout delivery. Fastball comes from a high three quarters arm slot with some arm side run and downhill angle. Fastball was consistently in the zone ranging from 75-87 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape with good depth and spin. Hides curveball well and proved to be deceptive for hitters to pick up. Flashed a slider as well with sharper tilt and spin in addition to the curveball. Was consistently around the zone with all three pitches.
